01
Fill the application
Admission to VIS is conducted exclusively through our online application system. Complete the form and submit your child’s documents to begin.
02
Waiting list placement
Once your application is received, your child’s name is added to the waiting list and you receive an acknowledgement email.
03
Assessment
If a vacancy arises, the admissions office schedules an age-appropriate assessment. Results are shared with parents about a week later.
04
Acceptance & registration
Once accepted, parents complete registration. Enrolment is confirmed on receipt of the registration fee, school fees and all required documents.
05
Priority placement
Vacancies are filled first-come, first-served, with priority for children of staff, siblings of current students, and students from sister schools.
How assessment works
Pre-K & KG
Observed for school readiness through practical play sessions. Children must be toilet-trained and show a level of independence before starting school.
Grades 1 & 2
A gentle assessment of early writing, phonics and number work appropriate to age.
Grades 3 – 12
English and mathematics assessment through an online platform, conducted online or on-site. Entry to higher grades also considers prior school reports.
Age requirements
Per the Ministry of Education’s directive, the cut-off date is September 30. New applicants sit an age-related placement test or interview.
All applications are submitted through our online admissions system. Once your form and documents are received, your child’s name is added to the waiting list and you receive an acknowledgement email.
What grade will my child be placed in?
Regardless of birth year, students transferring from other schools are typically admitted to the grade immediately following their current one, subject to an age-related placement assessment.
Is VIS co-educational?
Early years (Pre-K–KG) are co-educational. From Grade 1 onward, classes are organised into separate boys’ and girls’ sections.
When are assessments held?
Assessments are scheduled when a vacancy arises, prioritising applicants on the waiting list. Results are shared with parents about a week after the assessment.
How is a place confirmed?
A place is confirmed once the registration fee and school fees are paid and all required documents are submitted.
What curriculum does VIS follow?
