Our story

From 225 students to a

 full K-12 journey.

VIS opened in September 2014 with 225 students spanning Pre-K through Grade 8. Today the school serves more than 1,200 students from Pre-K through Grade 12.

Early years (Pre-K–KG2) remain co-educational, while Grade 1 onward features gender-organised classes. VIS offers a rigorous American international curriculum complemented by Arabic language, Qatari history, and Islamic studies — ensuring our students receive a well-rounded education that honours their heritage and prepares them for global success.

At Vision International School, we believe that education is about far more than achieving outstanding academic results. It is about developing compassionate, confident and resilient young people who possess the knowledge, skills and character to make meaningful contributions to an ever-changing world. Through our American curriculum, enriched by the culture, traditions and values of the State of Qatar, we provide students with the foundations to succeed both locally and internationally.

Our curriculum integrates American education standards with global perspectives and connections to Qatar’s national identity and local community — supported by an experienced international faculty and deeply engaged families.

Uniforms

One uniform, worn

 With pride.

All students are required to wear the official VIS school uniform. Our official supplier, Edumax, offers a variety of uniform options.

Please check the picture below for more details on our dress code. Please note that purchasing from Edumax is not mandatory.

Good to know
No clothing with commercial logos is permitted at school.
Parents are kindly asked to label their children’s clothing with the child’s name or initials on the name tag inside.
Please also follow the garment’s washing instructions to maintain the uniform’s quality.
Class teachers are responsible for ensuring students wear the correct uniform. Students who arrive improperly dressed may be asked to make arrangements to comply with the dress code.

For your convenience, you can buy the uniform at the Edumax outlet at the VIS campus , on the boys’ side, in the basement, Room B0-09.

The systems that keep school days running smoothly.

Health Services

At VIS, we maintain health records for each student to ensure the best possible care and treatment. When a child is injured or ill, they are promptly assessed and treated. Parents can help us provide optimal care by ensuring the school has up-to-date and accurate information, including:

A completed health history form (attached to the registration form), with any allergies clearly noted
A photocopy of the current immunization record
Current home and mobile phone numbers; please notify the school immediately if contact details or addresses change
An emergency contact number for a friend or relative, including the nature of their relationship to the student (e.g., uncle, aunt, older sibling, close family friend)

Food Service

VIS offers a food service through a trusted, high-quality vendor. During breaks, students can purchase a variety of warm and cold foods and drinks in the cafeteria. Parents may also send packed lunches with their children. If you choose to do so, please provide a lunch box for your child’s meals.

To support healthy eating habits, we recommend:

Sandwiches made with fresh, natural ingredients such as salad, cooked meats, or cheese (please avoid chocolate spread, peanut butter, or foods high in sugar)
Fresh fruits or vegetables like cucumber, carrot, or celery
Biscuits without chocolate or high sugar content
Water and/or fresh natural juice (not nectar, juice drinks, or sugary beverages)

During hot weather, it is especially important that students stay hydrated. Please use non-breakable containers and avoid glass bottles to prevent injuries.

Please note: Carbonated and high-energy drinks with high fructose content are strictly prohibited on campus.

Bus Transportation Service

We provide safe, air-conditioned bus transportation for students residing in Al Wakra and the surrounding areas. To help us plan efficient routes, please visit the Operations Office to register your home location on the map when submitting your child’s bus application.

Accreditation signifies that a school meets or exceeds professional standards of institutional quality through a rigorous process of self-study and peer review. It demonstrates that the school has the necessary resources to fulfill its mission and provides clear evidence that students benefit from its academic and co-curricular programs.

Vision International School proudly achieved accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in March 2023.

National accreditation · April 24, 2025

National Identity Enhancement Accreditation

Vision International School received the National Identity Enhancement Accreditation for Private Schools on April 24, 2025, awarded by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar. This accreditation reflects our commitment to applying national quality standards and promoting Qatari national identity, Islamic values, and cultural heritage across all aspects of the educational process.
