Position Overview
The main responsibility is to assist the teacher in the development of a classroom where the school’s Mission, Vision, and Learning Results are understood and implemented in a caring manner. The Teacher Assistant’s focus will be to complete the tasks assigned by the teacher.

Support of Student Development and Student Learning
- Teacher assistants show affection and caring.
- Teacher assistants speak with children respectfully.
- Teacher assistants listen attentively and respond appropriately to what children say.
- Teacher assistants guide children’s behavior in positive ways.
- Teacher assistants interact with individuals and groups in ways that support curricular objectives/standards.
- Teacher assistants show awareness of what is going on in other parts of the classroom.
Support of Lead Teacher and School
- Teacher assistants complete assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Teacher assistants work collaboratively with the lead teacher to anticipate and/or resolve potential areas of concern/conflict.
- Teacher assistants are appropriately aware of school procedures.
- Teacher assistants attend to their non-instructional duties and assignments.
- Teacher assistants keep a high level of confidentiality regarding students’ information.
- Teacher assistants communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Training and Professional Development
- Attend training and seminars to further develop professional skills as needed.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Ability to understand the students’ psychology
- Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
- Ability to carry out instructions
- Ability to collaborate and coordination
- Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices
- Confidentiality and high work ethics
- Communication Skill (English/Arabic)
- Related language skills
- Computer Skills and ability to handle the teachers’ aids
- Must have a compassionate and positive attitude
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities
- Ability to conduct research and acquire necessary knowledge
